Halloween

We compromised with Kara this year--it's hard to convince her that there are other cute costumes besides princesses (which she was last year). Tinkerbell turned out great! Since Halloween was on a Friday this year we also had a party with friends. We headed into Taylorsville to trick-or-treat in the good old 20th Ward. After trick-or-treating we went to the Larson's for pulled pork sandwiches and lots and lots of talking and laughing.

Here's Parker in his grim reaper costume. Again, we had to compromise since Shaye was adamant that a clown or any facsimile of a clown was out of the question.

The kids were fun to watch while we went trick-or-treating. It didn't take long for Kara to lead the way to the next house, leaving Parker in the dust. Every time we left a house Parker wished the person a happy halloween and soon Kara joined in. When Kara's bag became too heavy a burden Parker helped her carry it and then Dad had to take over. She kept saying she wanted more candy, but finally gave in and said she was done. They played for another few hours at the Larson's though, with no trouble keeping up with the other kids. A really fun night with fun friends!

Panguitch 2008

We are finally getting around to updating our blog. Here are some pictures of our annual trip to Panguitch with the Bolin family. This year we were a little worried about rain because last year it rained pretty much every minute of every day. Well...the first couple days were pretty rainy. We even had to have Cassidy and Parker stay in the trailer with us because their tent leaked water. That just makes the trailer very stuffy and stinky! Luckily, though, the rained stopped and it was a beautiful week. We have pictures of shooting and fishing and hanging out--all the fun things in life.

Back in Black Hills

For our big summer trip of 2008 we decided to "cut loose from the noose" and "run to the hills"...the Black Hills that is.

As you will see from the pictures we had a great time. We especially enjoyed having our nephew/cousin Cassidy (The Mammoth) along with us.
